Nolwenn Hadet -SLEEPING FAMILY
100x150cm - finition plexi - 840€
Attracted by the great virgin spaces and the most well preserved regions of the world, photographer Nolwenn Hadet fell under the spell of the Arctic several years ago. She brings a sensitive and poetic gaze to bear on this environment and the animals that live there. While producing such images is extremely dangerous, her pictures are full of gentle serenity, revealing a sublime world to us. Preparing her expeditions sometimes two years in advance, the photographer must be accompanied by a guide in order to approach the bears as closely as possible and in the safest conditions. It is also important to take into account the desirable periods for viewing them, in summer in Spitsbergen, between September and October in the north of Alaska, and in February in order to spot the cubs as they leave their den. Nolwenn Hadet offers us her tender and playful view of polar bears, the primary victims of the melting of the ice due to climate change and thus a species facing a very real threat of extinction.

Torun Yener BITTEN
60x60cm - finition plexi - 330€
An inspiring location owing to its geographical situation at the crossroads of civilisations, Istanbul is famous for its Oriental and Western influences, for its contrasts between tradition and modernity and its grandiose architecture inherited from the Ottoman and Byzantine empires. Its old streets, panoramic views over the Bosphorus, its famous Blue Mosque and Saint Sophia Cathedral are not however the subjects that interest Yener Torun, who prefers to sublimate less frequented parts of his hometown, by wandering through industrial and residential areas. The results are entrancingly beautiful, dominated by repetitive geometric themes, flamboyant and saturated colours, and work on shadows that magnifies the façades of the Turkish capital. Yener Torun hopes to change the perception that people have of his country by presenting a modern, bright, dynamic and colourful Istanbul for all to see. His disparate influences oscillate between the abstract artworks of the Minimalist Piet Mondrian, those of American painter Frank Stella, the inventor of geometrically cut canvases taking the shape of Middle Eastern cities, or the methodical arrangements of the videogame Tetris.
